Reminder for Winter Student-Athletes’ Parents: Physicals are scheduled for November 7th during the school day. Please ensure your child has a completed PIAA CIPPE packet (sections 1-5) submitted by November 6th for the doctor to conduct the physical. If your child already has a PIAA physical on file, they need to submit a Section 7 form to the high school office by November 15th to participate in the first day of mandatory practices. *If any answers to questions 1-6 on Section 7 are “yes,” a Section 8 form must also be completed. Forms are available online, in the high school office, or in the library.

Open Mat for wrestlers will begin on November 4th at Harborcreek High School. This season, a bus will be available to transport wrestlers to Harborcreek, including for open mat sessions. The bus will depart during tutorial, so athletes must have their paperwork and parent permission on file at Iroquois before they can be dismissed to take the bus. Our boys’ soccer team will face Seneca in the District 10 1A Semifinals at Fort LeBoeuf tomorrow at 7:30 PM. The team departs from the High School tomorrow at 5:30 PM. HALLOWEEN - Students will be permitted to wear a costume on Thursday, October 31st. All costumes must meet the dress code. No exposed midriffs, no clothing that is above mid-thigh, no bare feet, no excessive cleavage, & no alcohol, drug, or tobacco related costumes. Also, no replica firearms or weapons are permitted. Student faces can not be covered. Students who do not comply with the guidelines or are wearing something deemed offensive will be required to change.

Monday , October, 14th - We had a total of 38 staff trained by NAMI to become a Youth Mental Health First Aid responder during our Regional Inservice. Studies of Youth MHFA have found that individuals trained in the program show increased mental health literacy and confidence to help a young person in distress. We are thankful for these caring teachers.
