JR. HIGH FIELD DAY - This is a reminder to all 7th and 8th grade students that tomorrow, June 1st, is going to be a field day for the junior high. Students are reminded to dress appropriately with hats, shorts, and tennis shoes. It is also advised that students should bring sunscreen.
The Iroquois School District would like to hold a COVID Vaccine Clinic on site Saturday, June 5th. This event would be for all Iroquois community members over the age of 12. In order to facilitate this program with our local Walmart Pharmacy we are asking you to complete the interest survey located on the school district website. Responses must be received by Friday, May 28.

This event would be for all Iroquois community members over the age of 12. Anyone under the age of 18 will need parental permission and a parent on-site. There is no cost for this vaccine but you are asked to bring insurance card for verification. Vaccines will still be given if you do not have insurance. All students will receive 10 tickets for this event. If the weather is not favorable, the ceremony will be moved into the auditorium for the same date and time. Attention Parents of 11th and 12th grade students: Prom Court will be showcased with the King/Queen, Prince/Princess announced in the Auditorium on Saturday, May 22nd at 9:30pm. Parents of 11th and 12th grade students only are invited to watch the crowning and take photographs of our royalty on stage. Parents will be asked to leave the event after photographs are taken. I love the small community and ability to be part of a more inclusive environment Future Aspiration I hope to attend college and become a K9-handler for the police force. I hope to one day travel and see more of the world. What teacher has made the most impact on you and why?My second-grade teacher, Mrs. Dugan, has made the most impact on me. She was always open-hearted, kind, and enthusiastic. This influenced me to embrace my education and see things in a more positive light. 10th Grade Elite Brave: Emma Neri Clubs and/or Sports: Marching Band What do you love about Iroquois? The teachers are very nice and respectful towards their students plus they help out when students need help the most. Future Aspirations: Going to college for 4 years in animators and multimedia artists so I can learn new styles of art for the career I love deeply. I would love to move after college to a small town in the mountains where my father grew up in. What teacher has made the most impact on you and why? Mrs. Edwards, the art teacher. She has always helped me through a lot of work I never understood and now that I do, it's all thanks to her. Among the many positive attributes that iroquois has to offer, the thing I love most is the people. We are all like a family. We have our ways of working together for a greater cause and are very team oriented. Future Aspirations: I aspire to be accepted to an Ivy League College for law. What teacher has made the most impact on you and why? The teacher that has made the most impact on me would be Mrs. Nuhfer. She is a very exciting and positive person to have in the classroom. Her ongoing support has driven me to open up to new possibilities. I love that the teacher and staff members are helpful and care about us. Future Aspirations: Go to College and become a Judge or Police. The Keystone Exams are fast approaching! Here are the dates of the upcoming exams. Cyber families will receive an email in the next week regarding testing times and transporation. 11th grade Literature: May 18 & 19, 10th Grade Literature: may 20 & 21, Biology: May 24 & 25, and Algebra: May 26 & 27. Please make every effort to have your student attend on their testing dates.
Dear Parents/Guardians of Iroquois School District Students: I wanted to provide you with updated information on COVID-19 Vaccines. Everyone 16 years of age or older is now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccination. Information regarding these vaccines is located on CDC and Department of Health websites. I have included the link below to the CDC which includes information and a vaccine finder to help you locate vaccine sites near you. · The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is recommended for people aged 16 years and older. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/How-Do-I-Get-a-COVID-19-Vaccine.html Sites included on the vaccine finder include: Rite Aid - Walgreens Giant Eagle - Walmart CVS - UPMC St. Vincent/AHN - Community Health Network A clinic will also be held at the Bayfront Convention Center on Monday May, 3rd from 1pm-8pm. They will be using the Pfizer vaccine which is approved for ages 16 and older. And would ask that a parent/guardian be present to countersign consent. Appointments can be made by calling 1-866-LECOM19 or going to lecom.eventbrite.com. Any family members of the children or anyone you know 16 years of age and older is also welcome to sign up! They prefer that everyone has an appointment, so they are able to estimate vaccine usage, and nothing goes to waste however walk-ins are also welcome during this same time. COVID -On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, we were informed of a COVID-19 case impacting Iroquois Jr./Sr. High School. The Iroquois School District has followed the health and safety plan in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. 8th Grade Elite Brave: Madison Amon Clubs and sports I am involved in are track and field, PYD, cross country, student counsel and I swim competitively. What do you love about Iroquois? I love that Iroquois is a small school and everyone knows each other. Future Aspirations: In the future I would like to travel because I go on trips with my family all the time and it's lots of fun and would love to go on many more trips. What teacher has made the most impact on you and why? Mrs. Bandur has had the most impact on me. I had Mrs. Bandur as a teacher in 7th grade and was very excited to have her this year.
