In the fall of their junior or senior year, students who have a GPA of 3.25 or better are invited to apply for National Honor Society. For acceptance, students have to meet the 4 pillars of National Honor Society which are Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Based on an application and brief essay, a confidential faculty council reviews the applications and decides if a student meets the qualifications for acceptance.
Once inducted into National Honor Society, students are expected to maintain the 4 pillars of NHS. As an organization, we are dedicated to committing ourselves to service and leadership in both the community and the school all while displaying good character and keeping up grades. We plan many fundraisers for charities, volunteer at various events for the school, and sponsor a Gently Used Book Sale in the spring.
