9 Iroquois students participated in the Spelling Bee after-school program. The top 3 spellers from the school bee went on to compete at the community school Spelling Bee last night at Harding Elementary. Our top 3 spellers were:
Orin (5th grade)
Camden (5th grade)
Aiden (4th grade)
At last night's bee, 7 community schools and 21 hardworking and impressive spellers competed. All 3 Iroquois students made it into the TOP 10! Students did SO well, we had to use a 7th GRADE word list for the last few spellers, which none of them had seen or studied in advance! In the end, Iroquois student, CAMDEN, took first place! A huge thanks goes to their coach as well, Mrs. DeCoursey!
